Well, here it is, a new blog.
I started blogging about the books that I have read in February of this year. I already started a list, dating back to January 1st, so it wasn’t a far reach to start a blog. Encouraged by a co-worker who already uses Word Press (check out her blog at http://classroomtechtips.wordpress.com/), I decided to transfer and continue my blogging.
So, to the meat & pototoes of the blog – it’s about books. (Go figure, I’m a teacher-librarian and I blog about books – it’s pathetic really, I know.) Specifically I write about the books I’ve read in 2007. Hence the blog title. My goal is to read 50 books in 2007, and I’m already almost half way. As I work in a high school, many of the books that I read are written for young-adults, so may be shorter, but may also contain that humour and poignancy that you just wouldn’t find in any other type of book.
I have a strong desire to record the books that I read, and I occassionally have a hard time remembering whether or not I have read a book until I’m already reading it again for the second time. This blog will not only act as my memory, but it will also allow others to agree/disagree to what I have to say about the books.
